Judge Philip Cook was appointed as a County Court Judged in 1982, following a distinguished career as a civil litigator in South Florida for over 30 years. Since his retirement from the bench in 1995, Judge Cook has served as a Senior Judge in virtually all divisions of the 11th Judicial Circuit. Judge Cook has previously been an instructor at Miami-Dade Community College, the University of Miami and the Florida International University paralegal programs. Judge Cook was one of the most highly respected Judges during his tenure on the bench, and is the penultimate problem solver! Judge Cook has all of the essential ingredients of an effective mediator -- a sense of fairness, impartiality and professionalism. His legal and judicial experience include thousands of cases involving torts, contracts, landlord/tenant matters, personal injury, malpractice and other matters.
