Judge Michael J. Samuels is a former Miami-Dade County Court Judge, who was elected to the Bench following a distinguished career as an attorney in general practice, mediator and arbitrator. Admitted to practice law in Florida in 1972, Judge Samuels has been a Supreme Court Certified Mediator since 1989 and, for several years, was a full time mediator and arbitrator for Miami-Dade County.  He has mediated in excess of 1,000 Circuit Civil and Family cases.  Judge Samuels has been appointed to the mediator qualifications Board by the former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court and is qualified as a Primary Trainer to teach Circuit Civil and Family Mediation by the Florida Dispute Resolution Center.
